IAS Concludes Policy Roundtable Series on Governance Reform Through Local Self-Governments

The Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS), University of the Punjab, successfully concluded the Policy Roundtable Series on Governance Reform through Local Self-Governments with the third and final roundtable held on 2nd July 2026. The series was organized under Work Package 2 (WP-2) of the Centre of Excellence on Public Policy and Economic Development (CEPPED), a Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC)-funded initiative, in collaboration with the Beaconhouse Centre for Policy Research, Beaconhouse National University.
The concluding roundtable, titled “Local Governments and Service Delivery: Pathways to Citizen-Centric Governance in Pakistan,” was moderated by Dr. Sidra Irfan (IAS). The session brought together academics, policymakers, researchers, and governance practitioners to deliberate on strengthening local governments for effective, responsive, and citizen-centric public service delivery.
The successful conclusion of the three-part Policy Roundtable Series marks another significant milestone in IAS’s commitment to promoting research-driven policy dialogue and contributing to governance reforms in Pakistan.
