Today, on May 26th, 4 day long New Faculty Orientation Program – 2025 Batch-I commenced under the auspices of The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at Institute of Administrative Sciences, University of the Punjab. The program started with the recitation of Holy Quran. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood inaugurated the program and discussed different roles that a University teacher has to perform. Director HRDC, Prof. Dr. Aamir Saeed welcomed the participants and discussed the whole program, its objectives, and its benefits with the colleagues. Prof. Dr. Kashif Rathore, Director IAS, was also present at the occasion.
The later part featured two expert sessions: 1) Prof. Dr. Rehan Sadiq Shaikh, DG Student Affairs, Estate and Security, presented on “Vision of the University, Governance and management at University of the Punjab”. The session was very interactive. Prof. Rehan appraised teachers of various reforms recently carried out by PU administration. Teachers showed keen involvement and actively asked various questions. 2) Second session was conducted by former Treasurer Mr. Rao Muhammad Sharif’s on the topic of “Financial Planning and Budgeting at the University of the Punjab,” which saw lively participant engagement through case discussions and Q&A.
