Delegation of eminent lawyers – Punjab & Haryana Bar Council, India and Punjab Bar Council, Pakistan visited Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS), University of the Punjab, Lahore

 

A foreign delegation of eminent lawyers from Punjab & Haryana Bar council India and Punjab Bar Council Pakistan accompanied by PU Law College faculty members visited the Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS), University of the Punjab on 4th January 2019. The delegation was received and warmly welcomed by faculty and staff of IAS and a group photo was taken on their arrival. Delegation was then taken to the auditorium where the ceremony was initiated with the recitation of holy verses by Hafiz Huzaifa Tur Razzam, student of BS Management. The program was coordinated by Dr. Sidra Irfan – Assistant Professor at IAS. She welcomed the worthy Director IAS Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen, and guests on the stage including Mr. Rana Intizaar – Advocate High court and member Punjab Bar council Pakistan, Mr. Partabh Singh – lead delegation, Mr. Harpeet Singh, Mr. Samee Uzair – Assistant Professor, Ms. Suneeta and Ms. Rubab Khan. Dr. Sidra Irfan invited Prof. Dr. Nasira Jabeen to welcome the guests and to give an overview about the institute and the University. Alongwith the academic programs, faculty and other facilities, Dr. Jabeen shared various community initiatives of the institute that have been taken with the support of alumni including Dastarkhwan Project, Clothes Bank Drive, Professional Wardrobe Project and Educational Endowment Trust.  On behalf of University, worthy dean expressed the gratitude and openness upon the delegation’s desire to visit University of the Punjab while they were visiting Lahore for an international conference.

The representatives of the delegation, Mr. Rana Intezaar and Mr. Harpeet Singh shared their expressions about the visit to the institute and to the culture of Lahore. They showed their immense gratitude upon great hospitality and the inclusive environment of the University and Lahore city.
