The Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS), University of the Punjab, Lahore welcomed its new students of BS Management 1st Semester & BSAD Management 5th Semester today, 2 September 2026, for the first day of the Orientation Programme 2026.
The session, themed “Welcome, Identity & Academic Foundations,” marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the new entrants at IAS.
Prof. Dr. Kashif Rathore, Director IAS, formally welcomed the students and extended his best wishes for their academic journey. He encouraged the students to embrace the opportunities for learning, growth and professional development offered by the Institute.
The students were subsequently briefed on important academic and institutional matters. Dr. Aisha Rizwan and Dr. Zahra Paul, Program Coordinators, provided guidance regarding various academic rules and regulations, semester requirements, attendance, assessments, examinations, and other important academic procedures.
The session was also attended by several regular and visiting faculty members, who interacted with the new students and warmly welcomed them to the IAS community.
The orientation further highlighted safety and security, anti-harassment policies, anti-drug awareness, and students’ responsibilities in maintaining a respectful, inclusive and healthy campus environment.
The three-day Orientation Programme is being conducted at IAS in accordance with the guidelines and directions of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Mehmood Saleem, and the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah (S.I. & T.I.).
