A seminar on “Public Policy, Policy Analysis & the Policy Cycle” will be delivered by Mr. Javed Akhtar Mahmood, Secretary, at the Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS) on Thursday, 2nd October 2025, at 1:00 PM in Auditorium 2.
Mr. Javed Akhtar Mahmood is a PAS officer from the 24th STP. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia. A seasoned bureaucrat, he has extensive and diverse experience in public administration. He has served as DCO in several districts of Punjab and as Commissioner of three divisions in Punjab and Balochistan.
He has also held key administrative positions, including Special Secretary Health, Government of Balochistan; Additional Home Secretary; Secretary Auqaf & Religious Affairs; Secretary Higher Education Department (HED); and is currently serving as the Secretary Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal, Government of Punjab.
