Dr. Sidra Irfan is Associate Professor at the Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS), University of the Punjab. She completed PhD in Management from The University of Edinburgh in 2015. Prior to that, she has done MPA from Institute of Administrative Sciences, University of the Punjab and has been associated with Punjab University as a faculty member since 2005. During her PhD studies she worked as a teaching and research assistant at The University of Edinburgh. As an appreciation of her good teaching, she was nominated consecutively for two years for a teaching award by Edinburgh University Students’ Association (EUSA). Currently, she is teaching PhD, MPhil, MPA, MS-HA and undergraduate courses in Management, Public Administration, Governance and Research Methods and Design. In addition, she is supervising PhD and MPhil/MS-HRM/MPA theses. She is MPA program coordinator which is a flagship degree program of IAS and is a member of several administrative committees. She is an expert in the fields of public management and qualitative research and has conducted a number of seminars, workshops, panel discussions and trainings in these areas.
Sidra is also a visiting faculty member at Civil Services Academy (CSA) and contributes to the Common Training Program (CTP) for civil service probationers. She is also on the panel of external examiners for thesis evaluation in the institutions of good repute. She is member of the reviewer boards of several HEC recognized local and international journals and conferences and sits on the selection boards of several academic and professional bodies. She is an active academic and has presented her work at various prestigious national and international conferences in the field of management. She has also published her work in various local and international impact factor journals. Her areas of interest are inter-organizational collaboration, partnerships, public sector reforms and governance.
