Prof.Dr. A.R. Jafri is a senior member of the doctoral faculty.He has PhD in Public Administration from University of Southern California.He has a long and illustrious academic career before joining the doctoral faculty of IAS after his retirement from the University of the Punjab. He has served as Professor of Public Administration and Chairman of Department of Administrative Science.He has also served as Dean of Faculty of Arts and Principal of Hailey College of Commerce. During his career with the University of the Punjab,he also served Government of Pakistan as Deputy Director, Civil Services Academy (on deputation). He has published papers in national and international journals and attended numerous international conferences. He currently teaches graduate courses and supervises MPhil and PhD theses. Prof. Jafri has contributed to a recent publication,“Public Administration in South Asia” (Edited by Meghna Sabharwal & Evan M. Berman) from the platform of IAS. He presented a research paper titled “Corruption as a source of good governance and management in Pakistan:Proposed remedial measures” at IAS National Conference held in May 2016.
