With immense pleasure I would like to invite you to attend the conference, ‘Emerging Trends in Governance and Management in Pakistan’, May 20th – 21st at Pearl Continental, Lahore. The conference aims to highlight the need to revisit, rethink and look beyond the dominant paradigms of Public Management for effective governance and public service provisioning in line with global trends and indigenous realities. The conference line-up features including panel discussions, key note speakers and parallel sessions covering the latest governance and management discourse. It brings together scholars and practitioners from leading organizations and community development entrepreneurs at one platform and encourages learning across disciplines. Ph.D. Colloquium which precludes the conference is a hall mark feature of the scholarly event to encourage high quality academic exchange and meaningful interaction on one-on –one basis. The organization of the conference by IAS on the theme also symbolizes our ambition to act as a relevant and robust hub towards improving research, knowledge, and practice of governance and management in Pakistan.
